Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the US and Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She's an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation occasionally. In 2016, she was a part of ESPN. The daughter of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since her age of nine. Her skills were instrumental in securing her first position as an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami, where she assisted the production of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then she was promoted to a reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. In 2009, she moved into Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. The stories she wrote about covered immigration drugs, immigration, as well as other issues on both the Texas and Mexico border. Additionally, she worked as a Spanish reporter for the newscast of 5 p.m. as well as anchor and reporter of the newscast at 9 p.m. in English and again an anchor and reporter for the newscast of 9 p.m. in English, as well Spanish reporter for 10 p.m. Also, she was often requested to serve as an anchor for weather and sports. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November in 1985. Also, she has an older sister. In 1992 the family left Mexico to the US and settled in Miami. In 1992, the couple divorced soon after. In 1995, she was remarried Fabio Fajardo, an engineer in the naval sector who passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. The couple stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer in which she was offered an opportunity to work. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school, but she was very aware of what she wanted to do in her future career. She went to Mount Union University in order to find out if the school was suitable for her. As it turned out she loved the campus and they were offering the major she was looking for. After completing her studies, she was admitted to the university for a master's degree of media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the manager of the WRMU's 91.1FM station for which she worked over the years, became a friend. Her professor, Mark Bergmann, inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism. Additionally, he profoundly influenced her.
